To the best of our knowledge Martha is the first person to ride down and back up the Grand Canyon using boots. Her horse, Cisco wore Hoofwings.
Hoofwing Options
Custom Hoofwings are entirely hand made. They can be resurfaced and repaired. Call 520-455-5164 for details.
Shim pads may be necessary to improve the fit. They are sewn on the inside of the wing. Shim pad prices are determined by the size and amount of labor.
Resurfacing the bottom of Hoofwings can be done several times. The cost to resurface a pair Hoofwings varies with the size. For example: the cost to resurface a pair of 5" x 5-1/2" Hoofwings is $50.00. The cost to resurface a pair of 9" x 9-1/2" is $120.00.
Replace 'wing': The cost to replace a wing is one half the cost of a new Hoofwing.
Refurbish Hoofwing: includes a new wing plus resurfacing.
Extra Traction: Sand, (minimum traction), Carbide chips, (moderate traction), Ice studs, (maximum traction). Call for option recommendations.
Coloring can be added for $3.50 per pair. Black is standard.
Available colors are: gray, red, blue, white, brown, yellow, orange, green.
